Role Overview
As a Care Assistant BANK, you will provide essential support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities. This position offers flexible working hours on a contract basis, making it ideal for those seeking a rewarding role with the opportunity to make a real impact in a variety of care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Support service users with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding where required, promoting healthy nutrition.
- Encourage and support clients to engage in social activities and maintain independence.
- Monitor and record changes in clients’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly to senior staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in line with health and safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver person-centred care plans.
- Adhere to confidentiality and safeguarding policies at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a health, nursing, or social care role is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Good communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required prior to commencement.
